Observation

The program was washing, rinsing and sanitizing the tables prior to transition. When the licensor arrived to the program the children had already finished snack and were in the gym having "recess". There was visible fruit juice from the fruit cups and crumbs on the tables from snack breakfast bars and pirate booty). The children finished in the gym, returned back into the cafeteria for homework and reading time. The tables still were not cleaned. The licensor inquired about the spray bottles which were still in the multipurpose space. Staff was informed the tables needed to be cleaned prior to transitions that there was visible snack residue on the tables. The children transitioned to another activity and then snack again and the tables were still not washed, rinsed and sanitized.
